Frank Strasser is a self taught artist, born in Culver City, California in 1954. He earned a B.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University in 1976.

In 1979 he left for Europe, touring nine countries and every museum on the map. He was inspired by Van Gogh and The French Impressionists to paint.

Back in the states, he worked various day jobs, moonlighting as a painter. When a year as an electrical apprentice left little time for painting, he quit.

At the Social And Public Arts Resource Center, (SPARC), he painted with acclaimed muralist Judy Baca, continuing to develop his own artistic style.

For 25 years Frank has painted and performed music in Venice. California. His original paintings are collected in Europe and all over the United States.

In June 2005 he was selected for a Venice Centennial Exhibit at S.P.A.R.C. In July '05 he coordinated the Voice Of  The Canals Beat Ball & Beyond.

In December 2006, his art was featured in the Venice Beachhead and he  exhibited with other artists at an auction for the Venice Community Trust.

In June 2007, The Canaligators, a band Frank performs with, played the  Summer Soulstice Festival and the Summer Shout in the Venice Canals.
